Mauritius motorcycle hire
 

I am heading to Mauritius for a short holiday and want to hire a bike, preferably 250cc or above. The only info I can find online suggests that scooter rental is available but nothing else.

Does anyone have any info for renting something slightly bigger than a scooter?

Any experience of hiring a motorcycle in Mauritius would be much appreciated!

I know this is a bit academic as thread is old but might be of use to someone. There are no motorcycle hire companies in Mauritius that I am aware of. I know the island pretty well as its a bit of a home away from home for me and all the large capacity bikes I've ever seen were Police bikes or privately owned. Of course things can change and if really important to know it would be worth asking on Expat.com, the expatriate community

Thanks. That was also consistent with my experience. I never managed to find a bike rental place, so had to settle for a scooter.
