Mauritania Visa in Dakar
 

Hello,

Has anyone tried recently getting the visa for Mauritania in Dakar?

I'll be riding south to north starting in Guiné-Bissau and this seems the only option. Or is it also available in The Gambia/ Banjul?

Confirmation of address and location in Dakar would also be nice, Google Maps is leading me to N14.69140 W17.44685.

Hi Cabrita.

My information is a bit old, but I got a Mauritania visa in Dakar in 2008. It was ready in 4 hours, and cost the equivalent of 30 us dollars.

Americans were being charged alot more though. Nearly 100 us dollars for some reason. (probably a temporary thing, Bush had probably pissed them off somehow!)

Sorry this is old information, but just to let you know it certainly was possible recently.
