Mauritana Visa question
 

I am a UK national with a UK passport living in Denmark.

My intention is to buy a Honda C90 in the UK as we do not have them in Denmark. I will register and insure it at a UK address.

I cannot apply for a Mauritania visa in the UK as I have to have a letter from my employer (Danish) and proof of residence (Denmark) Bank statements (Danish) Pay slips (Danish)

To buy the C90 in the UK and register in Denmark is too expensive. 180% import tax.

Would there be a problem at the Mauritania border if I turn up with a British registered bike in my name and all the supporting paperwork in Danish?

Is it not possible to get a Mauri visa in Rabat anymore? Just pay the nice man some cash money and drive off last time I was there.

Mind you, this arrangement may have changed by the time you reach there on a c90...

There would be no paperwork at all for the bike in Danish. My passport is British as would be the bike insurance.

But my driving licence would be in Danish and I cannot apply for the visa in the UK as a lot of the criteria needed to complete the visa relates to my life in Denmark. Job, bank statements etc.

I entered Mauri this year with a German registered car, a British passport and an international driving licence. The car was not registered in my name and I had no problem. As long as you have some sort of document with the registration number on you should be OK
I had a bill of sale for the car but it wasn't asked for.
