Wich road... The one from Nema ? The one from Kayes ? You say Mauri, I think is Mauritania...correct ?

Sorry, yes, on the route de l'espoir, Timbedra - Nara.

Tuaregsr 23 May 2013 22:05

Fro Nara to Bamako it's everyday open but is a track with a long part of terrible "toule ondulée". Do you know the meaning of ? Good luck ! :innocent:
400 km from Nara to bamako. Almost 7 or 8 hours travelling. No problem in rain season...it's everyday open....
Wich bike do you have ?

i have just crossed from Nouakchott to Ouagadougou.

Nouakchott - Kiffa good tarmac
Kiffa - Kayes sandy piste and quite an adventure, would not recommend on anything but 4wd or a dirt bike
Kayes - Bamako good tarmac
Bamako - Ouagadougou good tarmac

The police claim that the road is safe all the way. I had no problems.

Regards.
