left-hand side 4x4

hi all!

will it be a problem to travel with a left-hand side 4x4?

after the carnet is fixed and the car is about to exit with the ship I remembered that my steering wheel is at the wrong side :)

cheers,
yair.

That would very much depend on your destination. :)

A few countries do not allow RHD (right hand drive). Vietnam? Do we have a list?
Is there any country where LHD is not allowed?

my destination is east africa starting in durben

Shouldn't be a problem at all, as there are numerous LHD vehicles driven down from Europe each year.

On the assumption you are heading north via the east coast, once you get to Ethiopia it switches back to driving on the right side of the road.

See if you meet the same stupid (blind? drunk? retarded?) Botswana traffic cop who insisted my wife (sitting in the right seat of our LHD TLC), should show him her driving licence. It took us 2 minutes of arguing with the moron to convince him that I was in fact the driver. The idiot failed to notice the tell-tale circular thing mounted on the end of the stearing column in front of me.:confused1:

In answer to your question, you won't have any problems if you avoid meeting Africa's dumbest cop.:D
