Where can you get a permit in kinshasa for inland drc travel to kisangani,if not possible maybe a shorter trip,thanks ron.

Hi i would be getting to kinshasa from capetown around june 2008 if i get through angola transit visa or other type ok.It would be good to travel with someone for the kinshasa-kisangani leg.It looks ok on google earth,thinking about 3-4 weeks,rivers with bridges or dugout used to be buss through part of it.About 1000 miles mainly slow going.Get the barge back or fly if the visa will run out to soon.Have a look at steveislost.com he did the kananga-kinshasa leg by train,4x4 and pillion on a local bike.Just need a permit or pay as you go,lots of villages on the way.see ya ron.:eek3:
