Kenya - Security on roads to Lamu and Garissa
Contrary to the long-time travel warnings, we found (1.) the roads from Mombasa to Lamu, (2.) from Lamu to Garissa and (3.) from Garissa to Nairobi quite doable from a security point of view. Road conditions are badly potholed or mud and sand on (1.) and (2.), but good tarmac on (3.).
The security situation gets bad east of Garissa. Aid Drive to Dadaab at the Kenya / Somalia border - Gentleman Adventurer
