Question Anyone has infos for container shipping from Togo or Benin to Europe?

As object, I'm searching fresh infos (and contacts) in order to better understand if it's feaseble or not, at reasonable prices and timing, the idea to ship back vehicles from Gulf of Guinea to Europe... avoiding Cotè d'Ivoire and Nigeria...

Any other suggestion &/or previous tracks done recently, will be appreciate too :-)

Thanks!
Cheers
Ag

Definitely not fresh info, but here is something from a few years back which would help as a starter:

see Sfiles in sahara-overland.com and go to shipping.htm

sahara-overland.com/Sfiles/shipping.htm

The ships do a slow run along the coast to europe. RoRo is cheapest, but I wouldn't take the chance. Container best. There are several shipping lines to choose from depending on where you want to finish up....

France was cheapest a few years ago, because of the trade France does with W Africa. I went to La Harve.

Why not try the gambia?

I have a confession to make........I have two motorbikes waiting to be shipped from Gambia, as per the following post:

http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...er-space-25546)

If you want to ship from Gambia to the UK it is not a particularly long ride from Gambia and will save us both shipping costs!

cheers

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
