Heading East from Egypt to Morrocco..?

Hi all,
Im am riding Cape to Cairo soon and I hope to make my way to Europe, Barcellona specifically. I have heard that shipping costs from Alex. to Italy are high (esp. considering ill have to do it there and back) so Im now tentatively considering heading East to Gibraltar to cross there... nice and cheap. Of course this means Libya and or chad , Algeria. I must admit Ive not really thought this part out, but any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks, Jim

Jim, don't head East it's the wrong way!

Why not travel though Lybia into Tunisia and get the ferry from Tunis to Marseille. It's a regular route and is reasonably priced.

Algeria is still dodgy as far as I'm aware.

Apart from Algeria being dodgy (N & S now), you can only get into Maroc from South (Nouadibhou), no entry possible from Algeria. Tunis would be the best option, although I believe Libya may issue visas only for groups of 4? See Chris Scott's site for latest info.
