It's terrible, the sooner Conte is removed the better ... but it could take a while .. I have seen on another forum a Pakistani has been shot in the head by loyal Guinean soldiers for not handing over enough money ...

The sooner that B**T**D is out the better ...

Re Guinea Conakry, Kouyate, Conte

Having been in the Liberian bush, I did not realise that the president (Conte) had just on May 21st dismissed his prime minister (Kouyate: internationally praised, accepted by most Guineans, above all the Unions), No wonder a week later the country is on the brink of chaos again. Quiet in Conakry, too quiet, so much military everywhere, coup talk. what I hear today. Manfred, in San Pedro, IC

Unfortunately I think there are too many loyal to Conte to see a coup happen, I was there last year when it all started kicking off ... I think that was the time to see him overthrown! Somehow I believe that he'll stay in power due to some top military allies!

Getting rid of the PM was a bad move; he was the second one who stepped in last year and seemed to have everyone calm (especially the unions!) ...

G.Bissau needs Nico overthrowing too ... that corner of Africa has it's fair share of troubles at the moment!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
