do I need a carnet to enter Cameroon or is it possible to buy one sort of lasser passer at the border?

You can get a laiser passer. Don't know the details though since I was traveling with a Carnet.

Hi !!! Apparently , Its possible to get into Cameroon without a Carnet .

->what takes me to ask You , if It is possible to enter Nigeria without one ? Did you had much hassle ? or is easy to get in wihtout a carnet ?

please do not laugh but I do not know, i am living in nigeria and my bikes are nigeria registered.
If you intend to enter from Benin take Igolo-Idiroko or any upper noth border post, much less hussle than Seme border which is about the worst in west africa.
I will find out anyway and let you know.

Just spoken to Nigerian Custom Authority in LAgos: as a tourist you will be given a sort of lassez-passer at the border without much of a problem.So just easy.

THANKS A LOT !!!! You made my day! .and saved me 500 euros on that bloody carnet.

Nigeria was my last concern about carnet requirement .

So , as for today , IT IS POSSIBLE TO CROSS AFRICA from Eu,to Capetown -west coast- WITHOUT A CARNET.

I am driving a old LandRover 109 . Departing in one month , and intending to do the whole run in 2.5-3 months.
