does anyone have contact info for a host letter to Sudan & Chad ? I am in Rabat Morocco riding south before heading into Chad & Sudan. The visas require a host letter from a tour company, or ? Thanks Garth

If you need a letter I would have tried Hotel Novotel: Hotel Novotel N'Djamena La Tchadienne: travel, stay or vacation, holiday at N DJAMENA

Is it possible to use the route from Chad to Sudan?

I got the Sudan visa in Nairobi and they required a letter of introduction from my embassy, not from someone in Sudan.

If you need something from inside Sudan I'm sure the Blue Nile Sailing Club in Khartoum would provide it for you. Don't have their contact details right now, but send me a pm if you need them and I'll try and check back in a few days.

Not sure, but I was speaking with a women in the us a few weeks ago who just returned from sudan. The Un tracks where "rebels ' are and she recomended hiring security in around Oum Hadjerto take me thru troubled areas / chad & into sudan. She also felt it was more safe there than Libya. da

There isn't a lot of people who have traveled this route, and I don't think I have heard of anyone after the Dafur-conflict started so please keep us informed.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
