Gambia: Toyota or Mercedes?
 

I plan on travelling to Gambia in august to sell a car. Does anybody have an idea which car is the better option: A Toyota Corolla, or a Mercedes 190? And should I take a diesel or not?

What place is the better option to sell, in Banjul, or is it better to sell further away from the coast?

Does anybody have an idea what kind of prices may be expected over there, in case the car is from about 1988 and in an okay condition?

Take a diesel, NOT a petrol. The Merc will sell quicker although the Corolla is not a bad option.

Its OK to try Banjul or better the Serrekunda or Brikama areas. Inland may not necessarily be worth the detour but its a nice trip.

Its very hard to gauge the price as the market but expect ca. 1800-2500 euros.
