gambia /senegal formalities

IS a laisser passeur ok for gambia, or is it carnet only?

Also how serious is this five year old rule in Senegal, - has it killed off the euro banger trade to senegal - must one try and sell a car in mauri or struggle onto bamako?

I was hoping to take an old car to gambia and fly home from there for a few weeks next year - retracing part of a past trip a few years ago....id love to know the obvious problems!!

The Senegalese 5 year rule is still in force. Your way through is either with a Customs escort, or Carnet.

Sam.
