Gambia car stay over 3 months
 

We are planning to park up a 4x4 with Irish registration plates for a few months in Banjul
Is there a problem with leaving car in Gambia for over 3 months , has anybody done this ?
Will we have problem when we want to leave and go back to Senegal ?

Hi,

in theory 3 month is max. But in the past you could extend the papers. People used to long therm parking have their connections.

We parked our Landcruiser 2 times at Camping Sukuta and can absolutely recommend this place. Joe can also arrange the extension.

3 Months is the maximum. Last year Joe from camping Sukuta told me there were problems with the customs to extend the passavant after 3 months. Ask Joe, he knows what is the situation now. For Senegal no problem. You will get a passavant at the border for 4 Euro.
