Gabon to Namibia November 08 or Januar 09

Hi,
on my journey from north to southern Africa I reached Gabon.
Solo up to now. :(. Apart from my Africa Twin!
Who is interested to travel Gabon, Congo DRC, Congo Republic, Angola
to Namibia in November 2008 or Januar 2009
in 4 weeks time?

Security situation recomends a trip via Cabinda nowadays I guess.
Has anybody experience with this area in these month?
I'd be happy about any contribution.
regards
Alex

Hi, I want to start my trip aroud Africa in Oct 2008 via Tunis, Algeria, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, DRC, Angola, Namibia and SAR. If Algeria will be too difficult for riding (guides, terrorists, etc) I will go via Morocco, West Sahara, Mauri and Mali. I plan to reach Congo in November or in December. I will go alone, with my Africa Twin (RD04). My journey is in a planning stage only. But I can give you my e-mail just in case.

Congo

The Brazaville-Kinshasa route through this part of the world was painless when we did it in January this year. Friends who attempted it two months later found they could not get into DRC without an Angolan visa, which for Brits, is nigh impossible as you need to get to Matadi in the DRC to get said visa.

This could all be academic by the time you go through and even more academic if you go via Cabinda. The ferry across to the DRC is an interesting experience of "health&safety on the water"!:(

I thought about it to go by ferry from Congo to Cabinda. But where I should get an angolan visa? Is it possible in Congo or in Nigeria? I heard it`s easy to obtain an angolan visa in Matadi (DRC). I don`t have any reasons to visit DRC except this one.

Hey guys. I should be in Gabon by December 2008 on my Suzuki DR650. I enter Morocco early October and heading south to Cape Town.

If anyone is heading in the same direction I’m happy to hook up...

My departure from Libreville to Point-Noire, Cabinda and Luanda will be

Is there anybody going that direction at that time ?
Drop me a note.
