Biometric visa in Diema/Diama (Senegal)

Has anyone crossed the border from Diema lately?
I have the "approval" certification for visa from the Embassy of Senegal (obtained online), but I have not the formal visa because I do not live near the Embassy, and cannot go there.
Is it possible to get the biometric visa directly in Diema showing the "appoval document"?

Reports say that Diama is not yet capable of issuing visas, only Rosso (if coming from Mauri).

We crossed the border last Sunday at Diama. We needed leave our motorcycles at the border and to get a taxi to Rosso and back for the biometric visa. We could have paid a lot of bribes at Rosso for the cost of the taxi fare.

I would only go to Diama again if i already had the visa.

Biometric visa for senegal

Hi we are currently in Nouakchott and provided that you have applied online for your visa and have received the first email back then it is possible to get your visa at the Senegalese embassy here in one day ours took two hours to produce. Firstly apply online and make payment you must do this first or they cannot issue it here we had our receipts the same day we applied, print the receipt you will need it. Next obtain hotel accommodation we used Zebrabar for this. Also you will need to photocopy the first 5 sets of two pages in your passport for us british it is the last four pages and the remaining 3 sets from the front. Add one passport photo and turn up at the embassy opens at 9 book in with security guard and then straight in they will process you and a couple hours later you will have visa including stamp.

He Den and Mandy

That really is good news, and a complete change from a month ago, thank you for your report.

Sorry, just to clarify, they issued you the visa with JUST the first confirmation of payment email? You got the visa without the second email confirming your application was successful?

Yes we only had the first email printed it and got the visa in Nouakchott the same day. Don't know if you know but when we crossed no mans land and reached the mauri border on the 8th November 2013 you could get the mauri visa there instead of Rabat but it does cost a bit more.
