Freighting from SL to UK

Has anyone freighted vehicles from Sierra Leone back to the UK?

Is it possible and how much does it cost and is there an agency who I could speak to it about?

Questions, questions... sorry!

If you are in SL at the moment, perhaps go to the UN compound, and talk to some of the people in their logistics department. They would be the best source of information.

There is frequent wide-body aircraft service from SL (Lunge Airport) to Europe via a number of carriers - so, if the vehicle you have in mind is a motorcycle, you might be able to air freight it out of there fairly easily.

If you don't find any satisfactory solutions in Freetown, perhaps inquire in Conakry - not too far away, and they probably have a fair amount of ship traffic between there and further up the West coast of Africa.

Hi there,

Thanks for the advice.

I'm in the UK at the moment and I will be driving to SL. There will be about 4 Landcruisers and associated equipment.

Do you know the names of any shipping companies?

Jonathan
