East Africa: visas at the border?

Hello,
Could not find a list of country where visas could be obtained at the border. Someone knows of such resource?
Thanks!

You need to specify your countries.

I, British Passport holder, have picked up visas at the following borders: SA, ZW, Z, BW, MW, TZ, & K. The only country that I know needs preclearnce is Ethiopia and possibly Moz.

I imagine it varies according to the nationality of your passport. As a South African passport holder, I have bought visas at the border or don't need a visa for most of southern and East Africa, with Angola and Ethiopia being the exceptions. The best thing to do is to contact your foreign affairs/state department and ask them.

With Swiss and UK Passport

For following countries I had to get the visas ahead: Djibouti, Sudan, Eritrea, Ethiopia

Following countries I got the visa at the border: Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland.

An exeption was Malawi: If Swiss then u need to get visa ahead. If UK (and most of EU) then u don't need a visa.
