Convoy for Isiolo-Moyale route Mid-Jan 2014 & Ethiopian visa from Nairobi

Hello everybody.

We are planning to drive through the famous Isiolo-Moyale route (South to North) next week (mid January 2014).

We are currently in Karen Camp (Nairobi) trying to get the Ethiopian and Sudanese visas.

Apparently, Ethiopian visa seems to be more difficult than Sudanese as they started asking for a "recommendation letter" from your Embassy plus the Sudanese visa in advance in order to "help them" skip the stupid regulation for issuing visas only for residents.

All in all, it works at the end but it's always a pain in the @sh, especially for them who drive from South to North and never had to visit an embassy before (from South Africa up to Kenya you can easily shop at the borders).

If anybody is interested to join us, send us an email so as to organise the route.

Besides that, a latest update from them that recently came from North to South would be highly appreciated.

Cheers.

Nikos
