car with automatic gearboxe

We want to drive from NL to the Gambia and found a nice car with automatic gearbox. In the Gambia we would like to sell the car. Do Gambians like to buy cars with automatic gearboxes?

I think they prefer a manual gearbox because that's better for push starting. But if there's a good deal on an auto... .

They will buy anything really it just depends on the price. Obviously an automatic is a disadvantage in some models (4X4) but in others it isnt an issue (top of the range Merc or BMW). They will obviously haggle about the price saying that they dont want Auto but if the car is good then it wont really put them off.
What kind of car is it?

If its a diesel it should be no real problem, having air con and five doors is even better.

Hi,

If someone is looking for a Landcruiser HJ60 with an automatic transmission (perhaps for a handicapped person?) in good shape, then you can contact me through email. The car has seen the north and west of Africa and I've found that the automatic transmission is not a problem, not even in the sand.

Happy travels,

Andres
