Buying a bike in Nairobi
 

My friend and I will be embarking on a trip through Eastern Africa next year and making a documentary about our experiences. We plan to buy bikes in Nairobi and it is proving to be a bit difficult researching bikes there. We are thinking something like a Suzuki DR200 would be perfect but I want to make sure we get something that we can easily get parts and work done on throughout our trip. Does anyone have any info or tips on solid enduro bikes there and approximate pricing. Thanks!

Check with Jungle Junction, Google it, they should be able to point you in the right direction and may even have something there to sell.

I'm here right now, lots of people using Indian built Yamahas, 100-200 cc, delivery people say they're much more reliable than the Chinese bikes.

Have you seen many Suzuki's cruising around there? I see that through Car and General they sell Suzuki DR200s. I used to have one, they are great bikes and there are touring components made for these bikes. You dont have any idea how much they go for there do you?
