Have done business in Zambia a great country people are very frendly and mellow just stick to spead limit as traffic police are a bit sticky.Roads in general are good and fuel is not a problem local beer is called mosey and there are enduro riders in Lusaka.

You will require a carnet (or TIP) and the police will ask you for your 3rd party insurance. In fact they'll ask for it by name: Comesa. Otherwise all was OK and no bribes were asked for- just don't stop to take pictures of the guys who stand by the road selling live mole rats that they dangle "enticingly" off bits of string tied to sticks - they get a bit tricky if you have no cash on you!

Hi,
I am planning a similar trip next year, also starting in Uganda.

Don't forget to visit Lake Bunyonyi, and further, the Kabale - Kisoro road has fantastic views (that's also on the uganda-rwanda border).

How did you ship your bikes (from Germany?) to Uganda?
