Bike hire recommendations in Cape Town?

Found a few companies on the web - anyone rented there recently and able to provide feedback (good or bad)?

Cheers

I did use a hire company in Cape Town about 10 years ago and found them good but for the life of me can't find or remember their name! Maybe if you post a few that you're looking at I'll remember. They were a more basic option, and relatively cheap, but friendly and great service. I rented an F650GS and the bike was in great shape.

Hang on! I found an old photo of the bike from that trip and there's a sticker with the company URL on it!

This was in 2011 by the way, so not sure whether things are still as they were:

Bike hire recommendations in Cape Town?

These are the 4 i’ve found - ring any bells?

http://www.capebiketravel.com/rentals.php
https://www.yamaha-adventure.com/hire-rates

http://www.motorradrentals.com/rentals/

I’ve emailed the top two for quotes/more info and will report back.

I recognise the second two you posted and remember considering them but went with Cape Bike Rentals in the end (note this seems to be different to the first link you posted, but the link is in my post above).

G S Africa - Capetown

Highly recommended, rented from their Capetown office last year. Mostly BMWs or Harley-Davidsons rentals, extremely well maintained and been in the business 10-11 years.

Tell them Dr. G recommended them and you might be offered a free cup of coffee at their offices. Tell them you had seen Charley Boorman was using their rentals and you might get misidentified as I did as "that dashing English adventurer of long ways down, round and back" when collecting your rental. Too funny, as I was going for the George Clooney look. Details in October 2017 post here:
