Best option to Angola (currently in Togo)
Hi folks,
Im in Togo at the moment (waiting for the KTM dealer to reopen!) and Im mulling my route options. Ive got a visa for Nigeria and was originally planning to go from there to Cameroon and then do Gabon, Congo, DRC (crossing Brazza to Kinshasa) to Matadi and then transit visa for Angola. Cleqrly, with the trouble in Kinshasa, thats not a good option, so thez only other reliable route I know in through Cabinda to Point Noire. However, this would necessitate having an Angola visa before I get to Matradi, which isnt reqlly an option I gather. As such, Im wondering if there is a solution Im missing? Cheers for now, Andy

Angolan visas are available in Abuja apparently. I just met up with Paul in Kokrobite and was discussing the same thing. Check the thread under this same section.
I'll be heading to Togo in the next couple of days, so i might see you on the road. Sean

Hi Sean - Cheers for the tip. I found the post about Angolan visa in Abuja and am now there (in Abuja, I mean). Its the elections tomorrow so everything is closed, so Ill sit it out here til Monday and then try my luck at the Angola embassy. Ill let you know how I get on!!
