Benin visa at the Burkina border
 

Hi,

I went through all the visa threads and am still not sure about obtaining Benin visa at Burkina-Benin border. Can I still get 48h transit visa? Is it for two days or for 48 hours from issue?

There is no Benin embasy in Burkina which makes this difficult.

Your help will be greatly appreciated as I am in Ouagadugu and would like to set off to beni tomorrow.

Hi! I got a 48h visa at the border. Going to Cotonou for prolongation.

Good to hear. I didn't answer your post because it's been six or eight years since I entered Benin, so didn't want to lead you astray. FWIW, I over-stayed but the border guard forgave me and let me exit to Togo (after I tried my best to look surprised and apologetic without hinting any French ability at all).
