Atlantic route...then to Uganda, Kenya??
 

Greetings.
I am heading down the west coast of africa(nov 2007) but would like to cut accross to Uganda and Kenya from about Ghana. I am riding solo and was hoping that there is a popular route where I would have a good chance of bumping into fellow travellers. Anyone got any advice as to the best route cutting from the west coast to the east coast??

I am also hoping to cross through from West to East, from Ghana to Uganda (depending on time and finances...). I am not sure what the best route is, but have read loads of stories of travelers doing it so I am sure it is possible. As situations change freqently I think it is best to ask around and hope to find someone who has just done the same route, but from the other side, who has the lastest news.

we're hoping to go that way too, but as we're 2-up on an r11gs we're kind of prepared for bad news regarding roads. nevertheless will be looking for your reports on such. also keeping eithiopian airlines in mind.
we'll be in africa from late september as current plans go.
