Any up to date information on how an American can get a visa for Sudan?
I would like to visit Sudan, but need up to date info on how to get the visa. I read on some other forum that in January it was possible to get a visa, that it takes a week and costs $150 USD. Is this still true? What else do I need besides the money and filling out a form?

I'm trying to get the Sudan visa too (American). From what I can figure so far, best place right now is in Cairo or Aswan, Egypt, if you're going N to S. If you're going S to N, some have had success in Addis Ababa, but it can be a real pain. I think I'm going to try in Dar Es Salaam, supposedly it's the easiest place in East Africa to get it. I'm hoping I can find someone to confirm that Dar is still a good place (most recent info I can find is about 8 months ago).
