Taking Malerone for more than 28 days
Hi All
I'm going to Thailand,Laos,Vietnam, Cambodia and am thinking of taking Malerone as I don't like the possible side effects from Larium. I am out there for 5 weeks then back in the UK before leaving for Syria/Jordan. Anyone got any advice about taking Malerone for this period of time as my doc is only happy to prescribe for 1 month. As I'm only going to be in Syria for 10 days, is it worth just being very careful with insect repellent etc or are the risks still high. Any advice/guidance gratefully accepted. Thanks Julio

This is a quite late responce. But hope it still comes in time.
We leave in a month for Syria and Jordan. And we will take medicine against malaria. (not sure wich one). Main area to look out is the border wth Turkey. We are crossing it twice and don't like the idea of picking up malaria. Consequences are too high if we do (job-wise for ex). Pieter
