Staying warm
 

Remember Chaps.

layer up to stay warm and ALWAYS keep one set of clothes JUST for your tent. Never wear it on the bike, when walking, even if you are freezing on the bike and soaked to the bone it is vital to keep a set dry for the evenings which is when you are not active and most likely to suffer the effects of hypothermia

it is also a massive moral boost to put on a set of dry clothes at the end of the day and can change your experience entirely.

I try to have one set of underwear (incl. long ones) which is clean and dry.

While on the bike there are two things many forget, and that is dry feet and dry upper body will keep you going, if the upper body gets wet you will freeze even in +20c.....

I've have started to always have a rain jacket with me so that I stay dry, it packs small and is a lifesaver...
