Has anyone got an idea how to prevent this since I find after more than an hour on the bike and my Right thumb starts to go numb from the vibrations through the handle bars? I originally thought it was because my thumb was resting on the power cable to the heated grips since it happened on both the training school bike and my bike which were both fitted with heated grips. I have now changed my grips for normal Renthal grips but yesterday found the same problem after a reasonably long ride.

I have found that this happens to me when I grip the bars too tight. You don't realise you're doing it. Try consiously to loosen your grip, you'll be amazed how little pressure you need on the bars to control the bike.
