Need English Speaking Doctor In Vladivostok

Hi:

It seems that I am in need of a English Speaking Doctor In Vladivostok. From what everyone is telling me and the reading I have done I need a shot for Japanese encephalitis (Japanese encephalitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Thank you in advance for your help.

-Michael

Mike!

Hi Mike, Dave Petersen here. We rode down to Batopilas back in 2005 after the HU meet in Creel. Hope you're doing well. Click on the community tab to the left, there is a good community in Vladivostok. A very nice fellow named Vladamir Kargin let me live in his apartment while he vacationed in Hawaii. The HU community will take care of you in a jiffy. I spent over 2 weeks in Vlad and really enjoyed the city and scenery. Am in Thailand now and hopping in to Nepal soon for the ride west. I hope our paths cross again. Be safe and stay healthy! Dave.

try the consulate?

Probably a bit late for an answer now, but the USA has a consulate in Vladivostok, you know (I see you are from the USA). U.S. Citizen Services
While the bureaucrats can be useless at times, especially at larger embassies, they will help you out if you are in dire straights (sick or injured). They can at least point you in the direction of a hospital.
Note that you may have tick-borne encephalitis Tick-borne encephalitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia which is prevalent in Russia. Japanese encephalitis is more prevalent in the south. Frankly, I don't know the difference, but I hope you get successful treatment.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
