good medical book for the road

Hi guys I travelled on motorcycle for years by myself and my medical books are now dated. I plan to start some long trip with my son(10 years ) or wife and want to know if any of you recommande any good book for medical problem on the road .
Esp for Asia / Africa.

I ordered 'Where there is no doctor' but haven't looked through it myself yet so can't comment on it but might be worth a look.

"Where there is no doctor" is a very good, simple, common-sense book, but a little basic for those travellers having the possibility of access to modern healthcare facilities. It's a bit weighty, but especially if you have some medical or relevant background, I would recommend The Merck Manual:

THE MERCK MANUAL MEDICAL LIBRARY: The Merck Manual of Medical Information--Home Edition

Thank you.

Thanks for providing this link.

This looks like an excellent information source.

The fact that the manual can also be accessed on-line is great for travellers.

My pleasure. I have to say, I didn't realise until I searched for the link that it was available on-line. Useful indeed! I spent 5 months running a clinic in Rio Dulce, Guatemala, and this was my bible. "Where there is no doctor" was very instructive in how to make up your own pills and potions from the contents of the food cupboard, and insomuch a really interesting resource aswell.
