Epipen

Does anyone know if any item is available that enables you to carry around Epipens with you when not carrying a rucksack, tank bag or any other sort of bag? I was caught out recently in a situation that due to the hot weather, I was off the 'bike for a day and went out with camera & wallet only and no Epipens. Is there something available that will attach to a belt or around the arm?

Many thanks

The epipen must be refrigerated at all times else becomes useless.
I had this problem and my doc told me there was no way around this- It must be kept cold.
So ice & water in a small (steel) thermos might be a temporary solution.

We used several of these to keep pens in during our recent trip. They aren't perfect, the desert temperatures in Sudan made them struggle, but it seems like the best solution we could find. In relatively temperate climes, they keep cold for about 2 days.

Thanks Bertrand & Birdy for your replies. I have never been given specific instructions about keeping the Epipen cool therefore, somewhat belatedly, I have read the storage instructions. It specifically states not to refrigerate, although it goes on to say not to exceed 25C, so mine will have rendered useless.

Your post prompted me to actually check this for myself, as I carry an epipen. These instructions state specifically not to refrigerate, only to keep at room temperature, and also advise that an expired epipen is better than none at all. As long as the contents are clear you're ok.

Cheers
Lucas
