Dust protection for eyes?

Hello,

Planning tot go overland tot SA next spetember by bike I wonder how people to manage eye health in dusty conditions as In the Sudan (yes, eastern route).
Normally I drive with no nonsense sunglasses, otherwise I see the Dakar guys and other off -roaders with total covered faces like ski glasses.

My jet helmet is not realy suitable for a motorcross style face cover.
As far as I know being point man in the dust there no problem, which will rapidly change after meeting other traffic, or riding the tail.

Any comments on dusty eyes?

Guido

I suppose the only proper solution is goggles, but I hate them. Close fitting industrial safety glasses or specifically designed biking glasses will do better than ordinary sunglasses.

I have the BMW glasses which come with clear, yellow and grey lenses but they are £45. See this link for pic: TRI VISION FUNCTIONAL GLASSES from BMW Riders Apparel 2005
