¿Visa on arrival, Taftan border?
 

So, here's the situation:

Three years ago, it took me centuries and a whole lot of money to get my PK visa in Madrid. I had to produce an itinerary, a finantial statement, and wait here, and wait there, and show me other visas, and blah blah. I arrived to Sost with a bunch of other bikers, two of them -italians- had no visa whatsoever. The first question we get from the very polite officers was: "anyone doesn't have a visa?". The two italians hand in the passport, the guys there glue in a visa, and there we go. 15 bucks and on the road again. Efortless. Simple. Straightforward.
Now I am heading to PK again through Iran. Is there visa on arrival in the Taftan border? I'd rather not lose my time and money dealing with the embassy, you know.

No, I'm afraid not. The VOA at Sost was designed to make it easy for Chinese workers to cross and there are rumours that it has been stopped, but there has never been VOA at Taftan, sorry !
