Tyre Availability in Pakistan and India

Does anybody know where you can get hold of 140/80-17 rear tyre and 90/90-21 front tyre of some description if needed whilst travelling through Pakistan and India back to the UK.
Cheers
Peter and Wendy Bowden

If I would have found what I was looking for on Horzion website, I wouldn't have posted the question on the HUBB. Having travelled through this area before and the results for finding tyres Zero, obviously the best thing to do is to post a notice to see if anyone else doing the same route can help.

Anyone out there who can supply me with some helpful information I would be most grateful.

peter,

you seem to know the area well : quite hard to get tyres in pakistan, india ... especilally new ones, you might get second hand ones if you re lucky

coming from europe, your best chance is still before pakistan (iran and turkey for example) and after india, thailand for example

a few messages under yours in the same page of this forum a few days ago talks about an importer in india :
http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb...ML/000271.html

and if you search on the hubb (use the search function, type your keywords, on the top right of the page), many posts +/- recent, since we all are in the same situation : some experiences, some importers, tyres sizes etc ... are given : maybe not exactly THE thing/solution you re looking for but some valuable help ...

good luck, let us know if you have something new, THE solution, thanx

The other problem searching for posts for tyres is that Americans spell it tires.

So, if you are coming to TR the first place you can replace your worn out rubber is probably Antalya: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb...ML/000099.html

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
