Timor Leste, troubles again.

Typical, just as I'm planning to ship a bike to East Timor, cars are being burnt on the streets.
Shipping to Indo' would be more expensive and I'd really love to do the whole island chain.
Any advice ? any Hubb members there?

Hi Bob

I am just about to head to Timor Leste myself and have not heard of any trouble there that is different to most days. I would think that if it is a concern, the thing to do would be to collect the bike from the docks and head straight for the border. But I would imagine the trouble would only be centred around Dili, if there is any.

I'm not an experienced traveller, but I believe there can be sporadic trouble anywhere.

Best wishes, Dave.
