Sutlej valley, lahaul.
 

There was a dam burst in China in June that took out most of the bridges down the Sutlej valley in Lahaul. Has anyone got any recent info on the state of progress on replacing these bridges and repairing the road? I'm going back in sept and need to know if it going to be possible to gothis way round and into Spiti. Cheers

the repair was going on but last week, a partially build bridge gave way, killing many army people (who were workin on it)..
according to sources, the whole road to spiti area (known as nh-22) wont be up for the next 2 months or so.. and then the snow season starts..
