Storage fee Laem Chabang harbor (Thailand)
Hey,
I am now in Japan and I am trying to finalize the shipping of my Bike to Laem Chabang harbor on a ro/ro. It will take 15days for the bike to arrive. So, meanwhile, I was thinking on going to Vietnam buy a bike there and tour the country. Ideally, I would like to have 3 weeks to tour Vietnam... So those any one know what are the storage conditions and fees in Laem Chabang harbor? Last edited by YGio; 20 Jan 2013 at 16:22. |

Can´t remember: is Laem Chabang the same as Bangkok seaport? If yes, then I was warned not to ship my bike there, as the place was corrupt. But that was 5 years ago, and I shipped to the airport, so don´t really know is it or not, or how it is today, just thought I´d mention. Anyway, it would be interesting to know, how it works out for you, if you actually ship there by sea.

Quote:
-Ro/ro Shipping Company for Japan/Korea/Singapore/Thailand: Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistic (Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics - worldwide ocean transport, inland services, supply chain solutions, terminal services), 500 usd for shipping from Singapore or Thailand to Japan or Korea. However, there is a catch, you need to find a custom broker. Unfotunatly they are expensive in Japan ( about 400usd). Here is a list: Japan Customs Brokers Association Customs Broker List. Have a nice travel! Last edited by YGio; 24 Jan 2013 at 12:49. |
