Safe place to stora a bike for a week in Kuala Lumpur?

Hi folks,
we're currently going around the world on two Honda XR650Rs, some of you might have seen a pic or two.

My mate will have to catch a plane from KL coming Saturday and will be gone for a week, before he flies back to KL and we continue the journey.
We are looking for a safe place to store his bike (and maybe for me to sleep) in KL. Would anyone of you have any friends in KL with a backyard that could hold his bike for a couple of nights? Or any recommendations according guest houses, hostels or really cheap hotels with safe parking?

Thanks!

Hi!,
Not sure whether you have managed to find a place to stay and store your bikes in Kuala Lumpur. If you have not, I am happy to help you with accommodation and bike storage in my humble rented house in Batu Gajah, Perak some 170 km North of Kuala Lumpur. To get there is easy and public transport to go anywhere is easy too.
I have played host to one of our HU member from Australia some years ago. So I know abit your requirements.
By the way, it is free. No charge what so ever. PM me at amzahsulaiman@yahoo.com or my local cell phone +60193854736.

Cheers

Amzah

Looking for bike storage for 5-6weeks in KL

Hi MikeS. We will be arriving in KL in 5 weeks and are looking for storage for 5-6 weeks. We can't take our bikes into Australia so will go home for a month and fly back to KL end Jan and ship them to Santiago or Sao Paulo from KL. Are you able to assist in any way, for a fair price of course. Tks!!

You should contact Dynamic Motors in KL. Excellent service and I was able to leave my bike there for a month.

Hi,
Just in case you still have trouble in finding a safe parking, my place is available for use. Just that it is slightly up North of Kuala Lumpur. PM me

@amzahsulaiman

Hello,

My cousin is heading there from İstanbul by bicycle this time..currently somewhere in india with problems of power or net connection..So asked me to make a search.

Is it possible to leave the bicycle and bags at your place for a while so that he can discover your country with local transports, etc. and also less known traditions and colors with you (may be partly depending on your time) in less populated places you will advice..

This is an unsponsored longest Turkish cycling trip including all Asian countries and will cover china and north asia after se.asian countries, being realised by a new graduated student and at the end all photos and presentations will be held in a leading Turkish university, Bilkent Ankara and Trabzon..
(hopefully between westernmost and easternmost points of the main asia continent)

Hope you will have time,insallah.

Big Selams.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
