Riding gear for Nepal to Tibet
 

In Sept I'm doing the Nepal - Tibet and back route but am having difficulty sussing the weather. I've been on all the sites, 15-20c, mainly dry, dusty, etc but can I get away with a light FT air jacket or do I really need the heavy touring style. Lighter is better and I'd prefer the lighter jacket (with a fleece when needed) but do'nt want to get caught out. Last year I did Delhi - Ley and only needed the big coat for about 4 hours in three weeks.

I ended up riding in just a shirt for long periods because I was too hot, daft and unsafe I know. Wind chill factor should not be too much of an issue plodding on an enfield on dirt roads!
