Planning a bike trip this year

Hi everybody this year I am planning a long bike trip with my four friends, this time very long trip. I live in New Delhi, India. We would cross through very hilly and zig zag area and other very ruff terrain which I have not experienced so far. I would love if any of you give some tips for us so that it make this very our trip an easy and adventure full ride.

Thanks...

:D

Hello and welcome..

wow.. Where do we start ?? :innocent:

You should spend some time and read through this website. The ride reports, the forum etc.

The most important thing is just to get out there and do it.

I have budget of around Rs 30,000. And we all would be driving Bajaj's Enticer and Thunderbird Bullet of Enfield.

Ajay, as an outsider, my love of your country and what I experience there makes it hard for me to suggest to you things that are overwhelming to many but are common place to you. I love your country and it warms my heart that you would want to explore it.
The money and bikes are fine , but how much time have you got mate ?.

Thanks for praising my country.
I also love all countries of the world, because each country has its own natural features, culture, unique geography. Every country is wonderful for some or more reasons.
Although I have 15 days for this bike trip.

Two weeks ?.. say 100 to 200 klms/day with three days break that gives a range of 2000 klicks, a mighty effort :thumbup1: . Mountains slow and the deserts fast, take your pick. Like you I enjoy the twisty good roads, these are the times when the road is clear the view is spectacular and you can let your hair down (a little) and enjoy the ride. Many holiday spots like Ooty to the west coast through the tea plantations, Kodai Kanal to Madurai, old colonial hill-stations etc. There are many good rides south of Mumbai from the coast to the top of the Deccans and down again (my choice), I guess you could make mount Abu easily, not many trucks. Also, maybe consider putting the bike on a train to take you to the heart of good riding country nice and fresh, because if there is a God of traffic I know where she lives ;)
Drop some pix and some views of your ride please, love to hear how it goes.
