I had the same selfish reaction, I must admit
, when I heard the news on the radio, if Burma steps towards democracy as it's announced, we may have a chance to cross its borders and maybe even visit the country.I guess we'll all keep a close eye on the situation... |

We have been able to visit the country... the problem has been crossing it with your own vehicle.
But I think there are many more important and more acute problems in Burma, than whether or not foreigners are allowed to cross it overland. I do hope though, that one day it would be possible. |

I did say my reaction was a selfish one, border crossing for overlanders is the least worrying issue in Burma...
