Decent bike shops in Malaysia

Hey everyone,

I'm currently in KL and am about to head to Penang where my bike will arrive on Wednesday. She is in desperate need of a new set of tires, particularly the rear and a service.
Does anyone know if there are any decent shops in Penang where i will be able to get tires (17inch rear) and the oils i need to do the servicing. I'm doing it all myself, just need the bits. Well, i'm hoping to have the tires changed by someone as i hate doing them and always have trouble with the rear.
I'm hoping to be able to do all this in Penang and not have to ride back down to KL. But i could also get the stuff in KL and carry it with me on the coach if need be so any suggestions for shops in KL would be appreciated as well.

Thanks heaps.
Cheers
Kurt

Hi Kurt,

There's lot of bike shop in Penang and am sure you can get everything there. Or else get in touch with Touratech shop in Penang and he can help you with everything that you want. Here's the number - Tony +6017 4619 664. Cheers.

cheers for the reply.
I'm going to head back down to NKS in KL as he has ordered a set of tires in for me and they will be there when i get there and he said i can service my bike in their little workshop out the front. It's 400km down and then back which isn't too much really when it's all highway riding at 110.

We can recommend the KTM shop in Georgetown/Penang.
They service other brands too. e.g. our Honda Transalps.
Proper work for a asian workshop + fair rates.

Cheers

Panny
