Nepal-India- which border crossings are open?

Spoke to an Auzzie coming west, in Turkmenistan, and he said he could only enter India from Nepal via one border crossing, the others were closed due to local violence.

Does anyone have any up to date information on which borders are open?

We don't heard about this voilence.If so we definetly know these things from news.We do have upto date information.No worries.
The best route to cross is "Bhairawa"also called "belehawa" from Nepal side.

I am in Agra at the moment and start heading towards Nepal tomorrow.

Yes, border is open and everything works fast without hassle.
2nd question is still open.

Absolutely no problem with fuel . I just returned from 12 days motorcycle tour of Nepal. Petrol is available easily no need to carry with bike. Rate varies from 123 to 125 NC (Nepal currency). You can pay in IC (indian currency) everywhere. Just divide/multiply by 1.6

We entered and exited from Dhangadi. I returned yesterday.

Got just a mail from Tibetan friends living in Pokhara.
Message: Nepal government bans all big cc motorcycles from the road and a lot of problems with petrol now due to siutation Maoist/India.
Check it out before you proceed to the border
