muzaffarabad border
I read on the web that, since Oct 2008, the Muzaffarabad old border between Pakistan and India, was finally reopened.
It was closed since 12 years. It seems that now is open to normal/tourist traffic. Is it true? Anyone knows something more? I knew the only one open so-far was the Lahore / Amritsar grazie

not open to tourists i'm afraid, only trucks and the like, or so i was told while up in gulmarg near srinigar in december.
it's a bitch to even get to muzzafarabad as a foreigner as they require an noc (non objection certificate) from your embassy before they'll let you within 30k of the place

Open only for trade vehicles. Only border open for tourists is Wagah.

Yeah this is for the trade vehicle only but its abt to closed due to the recent attack on Bombay by Pakistani terrorist ......
