Manali - India Spiti Ladakh Zanskar : Place to stay + travel information

Hello everyone,

it s been a while i did not post because i was not travelling.
i m doing now a 1 month trip in Ladakh Zanskar - India
i m starting the trip in Manali then i plan to go to leh, kargil, padum, pangong lake, tso moriri lake, spiti & pangi valley ...

i m staying in '' RIDE IN '' Guesthouse, 5 kms north of overcrowded Manali, this is a real good choice : 5 rooms, 3 tents, a rooftop unique biker cafe made out of old motorcycles parts cafe restaurant. Budget price !

tiffany coates was there yesterday for example (and she s coming back for sure alone or with her groups)

they just opened 15 days ago

check them on facebook : www.facebook.com/rideinnmanali and website : Just Ride Inn

Godwin, the 30 years old owner is very friendly, bike traveller, + his wife, Sneh, they can can provide the best travel information.

They don t rent or repair bikes but then can help you around ...

Grant, Susan : this is pure travel information, no adverstising or marketing ! Tiffany saies hello :-)

Talking Namaste

Hola Mika and Bonjour Vincent
Yes, I'm in India, where I've been riding through blizzards and now I'm sweating in 46 degree heat in Delhi.
Ride Inn was a real treat - great food, great people and a bike friendly place.

I'm riding around on an Enfield - mine is the one on the left.

Mika, I'll maybe catch up with you in September, or if not for sure next year.

Hi Tiffany,

nice bike, what happened to your beloved Beemer, or the fantastic DR350 that you had in Madagascar?

most of the time in the last two years I spend in Bolivia (where I have my base in a small village), but the next two years I will spend traveling again ... September? I should be in Germany or Holland or Finland, who knows?

a big hug and see you in September, and if not this one, then next year ...

mika - still in Switzerland

A little late Dev as that post is a few years old but good advice and a great video, thanks for posting. An interesting choice of bike, I have not seen any of the new Jawa although I would hope to get another Hero Impulse for a trip like that, they are in my opinion one of the best bikes for India.
I plan to get to Northern India sometime but not this year now so I have to watch videos instead, I hope you stay safe and that things soon get better in India.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
