Motorbike renting in Ha Noi

Well the visas are organised, so onto step 2.

We will plan a 1 night sleep in Ha Noi, then on the road to Ha Long Bay.
And we to plan 1 motorbike for carry 2 people from Ha Noi to ha Long Bay.
It's not very far, and Google suggests 3-4 hours, but we will take a full day to do it minimum.

I have my own motorbike in UK, which is 750cc Africa Twin, but appreciate, a big bike will not be available, or shall I say, at a reasonable price, in Viet Nam.

I feel I will be happy enough with a 250cc, as we will be carry little clothes, just in a back pack.

I read that Cuongs shop, Flamingo travel, and Voyage Vietnam Mototours rent out bikes.

We will want the bike for about 7 to 10 days, so any thing more than $10 a day, will get expensive ( for us any way)

Can the wise persons of HUBB, please suggest who I should use for bike hire?

I don't wanna be the bad guy telling you, but for 10$ a day you'll very probably not find a 250cc bike. They are still rare.

But you'll easily get two 125ccs for under 10 bugs a day, together they make 250

Hi Timae,

Thanks for the reply.
How much do think I could rent a 250cc for ?
I would want it for about 7 to 10 days.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
