lack of thailand paperwork

We've just arrived in Thailand by air from nepal...

We completed all the customs clearance but didn't recieve a copy of the temporary importation paper... I only have a stamp and a small slip of paper in my passport...!?..

Does anyone know if we need a copy of this 'white paper' for when we leave Thailand...?..

Don't fancy finding out that we need it at the border...!?!

Cheers..

We also flew our bike into Bangkok. Departing the country they just wanted to see the stamp in my passport and that slip of paper you mention.
Re-entered thailand twice via land borders and different story for import - both times they were happy just to stamp Carnet whereas at the airport they said it was not valid. Go figure. No problems leaving country using Carnet either....

I flew to BNK from Delhi in mid June 05 and had the small paper that they attach on the passport but had also one of the copies of the white paper that i gave to the customs office when i left Thailand to Lao. I then asked them and had to insist a bit to sign and stamp the small paper on my passport ...

Thanks for your help guys.

Think to be on the safe side we're going to head back up to customs and see if they can give us a copy... could be a challenge!

Cheers, Jim and Lisa
